Lakshmie Napagoda, LCSW

 Life can feel overwhelming—especially when you're carrying the weight of past trauma, grief, or the kind of everyday stress that slowly leaves you feeling drained or disconnected. If you're longing to process difficult emotions, build healthier relationships, or reconnect with a deeper sense of yourself, know that you don't have to do it alone. I'm here to walk alongside you.

With over 19 years of experience working with adults and couples—both in person and through secure telehealth—I offer a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy. My goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered as we work together to identify what matters most to you and create a path forward.

I integrate a range of evidence-based therapies tailored to your unique needs, including:

  • Eye  Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for healing trauma and emotional distress
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you align your actions with your values
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand and change the negative thought patterns and behaviors that are contributing to your emotional  and behavioral difficulties and discuss ways to intergrade coping strategies to improve your overall well-being.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation and effective coping
  • Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) to help you recognize inner      parts, create a sense of harmony between them, and access their core self to promote healing and well-being.
  • Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to foster hope and build on your existing strengths and create forward momentum, even when things feel stuck.

My work is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and deep respect for who you are. Influenced by both my Sri Lankan heritage and my personal faith, I value creating a welcoming space for clients from all spiritual and cultural backgrounds.

 You may be experiencing challenges in getting to a therapy office. Telehealth has allowed me to reach individuals who may face barriers to in-person therapy, ensuring that quality mental health care is accessible to everyone, regardless of many constraints.
